Web 1.0
The cool thing about today's technology is the many uses of the web. For a while there we had Web 1.0. Web 1.0 in very simplistic words was boring. You were only allowed to read it. You couldn't really give feedback if it was published on the web. It was there just to simply use for information.
With Web 1.0 people were considered to be consumers. We were unable to do anything. If we wanted to have fun with the Internet we would have to buy Photo shop or Microsoft Word. many of the advances that came out, we would spend just to get the latest advancements. In a way it seemed that we weren't as powerful as we considered ourselves to be.
Web 1.0 used the computer itself as a the platform. Causing everything to be saved on a disk or floppy. In clear context, Web 1.0 isn't as fascinating as it was supposed to be.
WEB 2.0
Web 2.0 however is the hippest party 24/7. Your allowed to publish things to the web and acquire advice through the Web you published it, people are able to give you feedback on your work. many people seem to take advantage of this possibility because other people might know a little more then you, and they'll be able to give them more information without rewording everything else.
"Web 2.0 is a revolutionary view of the Internet and the social and business uses of
advanced technologies rather than the technical aspects of those technologies. The core concept of Web 2.0 is: Use Internet as a platform and leverage
network effect to harness the collective intelligence in a cost-effective manner" I grabbed thies quote from

The mastermind of this thinking expect that ultimately Web 2.0 services will replace desktop computing applications for many purposes. Many of these purposes will lodge the way people surf the web and the information they receive.

WEB 3.0
Web 3.0 is a highly specialized information gadget, moderated by a film of personality, controlled by the community, and put into context with the inclusion of meta-data through widgets.Web 3.0 is a return to what was great about media and technology before Web 2.0: recognizing talent and expertise, the ownership of ones words, and fairness.
Web 3.0 is a term used to describe the future of the World Wide Web. Following the introduction of the phrase "Web 2.0" as a description of the recent evolution of the Web, many technologists, journalists, and industry leaders have used the term "Web 3.0" to hypothesize about a future wave of Internet innovation.
Views on the next stage of the World Wide Web's evolution vary greatly. Some believe that emerging technologies such as the Semantic Web will transform the way the Web is used, and lead to new possibilities in artificial intelligence. Other visionaries suggest that increases in Internet connection speeds, modular web applications, or advances in computer graphics will play the key role in the evolution of the World Wide Web.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_3
